I have been blessed tremendously with a deep love of nature and a desire to travel and see as much as the world as possible.
At an early age, my father took us several times to remote regions of Canada to fish and explore and perhaps this is where it all began...riding the lumber trains in the middle of the night as far North as one can imagine to a remote native village, fishing in pristine waters that one could drink from, listening to the haunting yet beautiful wail of loons, and picking wild blueberries, all the time watching for bears!  I never knew a fear of adventure and to this day, remain in awe of the natural world and its beauty. There are many things one could focus on, but I choose to take joy in the fragrant pine trees and white birch forests, the wavy, golden wheat fields of Montana, and vibrant colors of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the fall.
It is my hope that this love of wildlife and nature is captured in my paintings for all children to access and enjoy. I believe a deep connection to nature can improve the mental and physical health of all children.
